DECORATIONS
Party ideas for decorations that will attract reptiles may represent the habitats where they live. There could be a desert area, pond area, jungle area or any other place reptiles are at home. FOOD
The food is the place where the bugs really shine. Different items represent bugs such as raisins for flies, red-hots for ladybugs, chocolate sprinkles for ants, and spiders and scorpions can be made with chocolate cookies and frosting with licorice for the legs and stinger. In keeping with the food for reptiles, the cake should be in the shape of a bug. A beetle is probably the easiest for a homemade cake, but a bakery could custom make any insect. Cupcakes are versatile for all party ideas and can easily be transformed into spiders, grasshoppers, ladybugs and beetles with the frosting and decoration.
PARTY FAVORS
For the party favors, make small sacks out of some kind of net. It could be purchased from a fabric store or saved when it is used for vegetables in the grocery store. This can be their spider web and the favors are all the things that got caught. Bug washable tattoos, stickers, more of the bug related candy and a tiny magnifying glass to observe any real bugs they find are some good party favors.
