Many people love extreme sports, such as skateboarding, rollerblading, dirt bikes and other extreme sports events. In fact, the X-games is one of the most watched events on ESPN. If you want to create an extreme sports themed birthday party, there are some simple things you can do. Consider these tips.
Invitations
To begin your child’s extreme sports party, let your child hand out each invitation personally. If he can skateboard or rollerblade, let him go up to his guests’ house by doing one of those things. At the very least, your child can ride their bike to the front door. Make each invitation look like it is an invitation to the X-games, including a picture of the event, or a graphic design of something related to extreme sports.
Decorations
This party may not look like a regular birthday party. Extreme sports do not resemble conventional birthday parties. However, there are items that are similar. For example, you can hang triangular string banners throughout the house. Many extreme sports events have triangular string banners hanging up around the tracks or parks.
Additionally, you can have your party at a skate park, if it’s possible. You won’t truly need any decorations if you have your child’s party at an actual skate park.
Dress code
Observe what many extreme sports athletes wear. They typically wear t-shirts — usually baggy. Their jeans are usually tighter to help them from tripping or getting caught in bicycle wheels. They sometimes wear flat-billed hats. Moreover, most of their shirts have either a funny or witty saying, or they are representing brand names like Fox, Hurly and other brands. They typically wear hightops, converses and vans shoes.
Games and activities
You can hold your very own extreme sports competition, even if the kids are not that great at extreme sports. You, and the other adults, can be the judge, and hold preliminary warm-up runs. The kids will have fun competing for first place.
Food
This may go against what you want, but many extreme sports athletes endorse sports drinks, portable snacks and energy drinks. You could at least have portable snacks like granola bars. If possible, you could use sports cups and water bottles to hold the drinks.
However, you may want to have a couple plates of finger foods — small sandwiches, cookies and other finger foods.
Birthday cake
For the birthday cake, you can have a cake artist draw a skate park. Additionally, they can draw different extreme sports athletes skating and biking in the park.
Party favors
Include the Tech-Deck toys as party favors. They are miniature skateboards, and kids use their fingers to act like a person’s legs. In fact, many kids learn how to do tricks with their Tech-Deck miniature skateboards. This is a great party favor. There are also miniature ramps for the Tech-Decks.
Conclusion
This is the perfect formula for a great extreme sports themed birthday party. Your child and all of his friends will have a great time.
