A Care Bears Birthday Party
A Care Bears birthday party is ideal for infants and small children. Some older children and teenagers will also enjoy a Care Bears party theme.
Invitations
There are many cute licensed Care Bears party supplies available, so Care Bears themed invitations are available to announce your child’s special day. If you are looking for something a little more unique, send or pass out tiny Care Bear plush toys holding the invitations.
Decorations
Fortunately, a wide variety of licensed Care Bears decorations are available. A good idea is to choose a particular Care Bear and make it the center of your decorations. Buy a large plush toy version of the Care Bear you have chosen and use tape to make it appear to be holding a happy birthday sign. Use flowers, 3D Care Bears decorations and confetti in colors that complement your Care Bear to make a party centerpiece that will illustrate the party theme as well as do double duty as a birthday gift.
Dress Code
Care Bears are all about emotions and moods. Have guests dress in costumes or outfits that illustrate their moods, and, as guests arrive, have each one choose a Care Bear place card or cutout that corresponds to the Care Bear that represents their chosen mood. Write the childs name on the cutout and use it as their table place card.
Games and Activities
Different ages require vastly different birthday party activities. Small children enjoy games like Simon Says, finger plays and dances like the Hokey Pokey. Puppet shows, especially shows starring Care Bears, fascinate young children. Older children or teenagers understand the concept of contests. For them, offer a prize for the costume that best illustrates a mood or emotion. Have older children decorate pre-made masks to express various emotions using paint, feathers and glitter. Award Care Bear toys that correspond to the emotions depicted as prizes for the best masks. Younger children should not use small craft items but can use washable crayons to decorate paper hats or color pictures.
Food
If you are catering to small children, bland finger foods are best. Small children are messy and they love familiar things. Chicken nuggets, apple wedges and milk are fun foods preschoolers can eat by themselves without too much mess.
Birthday Cake
Many bakeries offer Care Bears cake designs. Another option is to make enough cupcakes to go around and frost them with pastel Care Bears colors. Decorate the cupcakes with sprinkles and Care Bears cake decorations and then arrange them on a platter for a fun treat that small children can easily manage without help.
Party Favors
Snacks, such as individual packets of fish crackers, animal cookies or raisins, are popular goodies for small children. Small plush Care Bears toys, bubbles customized with Care Bears stickers, and breakaway name bead bracelets are all fun for preschool-aged children. Older children will enjoy Care Bear-themed crayons, pencils, notepads or jewelry.
